A darling, mid 20th century mechanical charm, modeled in 14k yellow gold, as a seashell that conceals a small white pearl. This little shell has a delicate scalloped form, and the alternating smooth and textured rays of the shell face make it extra pretty. This opens and closes with a latching mechanism— a small bead functions as the push-off. All of the moving parts of this charm are functioning beautifully. We love these finely-made old charms, and like our favorite examples, this one has lots of symbolic potential.
