A rare and wonderful Victorian-era, cable-link bracelet, modeled in 14k rose gold, between whose stretches of faceted links miniature, reverse-painted crystals are stationed. These five, hand-painted Essex crystals are seriously dainty, and their highly-detailed, figural subjects are astonishing! Each hand-carved, hand-painted crystal is bezel set and features a lucky charm— these fetters include a mushroom, a four leaf clover, a pansy, a ladybug, and a swallow! This bracelet closes with a large bolt ring. We love all of these beautiful symbolic figures, and it’s lucky indeed to find them here, together!

This bracelet measures approx 8", and can be easily shortened, if a different length is needed. It might also be worn joined to another chain, and layered in an arrangement of necklaces. This bracelet is solidly built, but very dainty. It is marked twice, for the maker with a serif A. These marks are obscure, but they appear to be European.

Bracelet length measures approx 7 7/8"; chain width is approx 2.75 mm; essex crystal stations measure approx 6.5 mm (about 1/4"). 

Notes

All of these tiny crystals are intact— their subjects are clear and easy to identify. The mushroom is in nearly perfect condition; the swallow is a little more worn than the others, but looks much crisper to the eye, that it does in our highly-magnified photos. Remember that this 130 year old bracelet was worn by others and much loved. It should not be exposed to water (please take care when washing your hands and remove when bathing, etc.).
