Meaning Symbolism
Throughout the span of recorded human history, pinecones have symbolized spiritual consciousness and enlightenment, awakening and immortality. Ancient Romans associated pine cones with the goddess of love, Venus, while Celts believed pine cones represented regeneration and used them as fertility charms, placing one under their pillows at night. A pine cone is even carved into the holy staff that the Pope carries during religious ceremonies!
