C.1870. A mid-Victorian sterling silver book chain. The chain is much chunkier and larger in scale than the ones that are more commonly seen. The chain makes a striking looking set with our, and they offer a strong and bold presence together. The length of the chain is 19 inches, and the width of each link is approximately 28mm (just over 1.10").  It also contains the oversized spring ring (the largest we've had too!), and its diameter is approximately 23mm (0.90"). 
We love the versatility of the chain- it can be used separately with different pendants and charms, or even on its own. In the last photo, the chain is paired with .  Overall this handsome chain is in good condition with the minor surface wear.
