Exquisite Spanish peinata carved in an art nouveau filigree design. Wearable art in it's truest form.  The peineta, or hair comb, is traditionally worn under a lace veil known as a mantilla. The peineta is primarily used during special occasions such as weddings, bullfights and performances of flamenco.  Flexible celluloid. Excellent vintage condition. Probably from the 1920s.
